Choose the best wedding dress for your body type!
Your wedding dress should match who you are, both on the inside and on the outside too. And yet, with so many cuts, designs and fabrics to choose from, buying the perfect wedding gown can feel like a very confusing affair.
How to choose the best dress for your body type? We have gathered some tips for you – so read on if you want to find out more.
If you are petite, avoid wearing ballgown dresses. They can look absolutely gorgeous, but not necessarily on shorter ladies because they can give the feeling the bride is “swallowed” by the volume of the design. Instead, try to see if you cannot find a column dress you like – they add height and they make petite ladies look taller.
On the other hand, if you have a tomboyish figure, a ballgown dress will create curves and it will make you look more feminine – so it’s a definite “do” if you are in this situation.
Want to flatter your womanly curves? Wear a mermaid-cut dress! They look absolutely spectacular and they can really make a woman feel glamorous. At the same time, it is important to know that this type of dress may be constricting, so if you want to feel 100% comfortable, it may not be your best bet (a trumpet gown though can add a lot more movement while keeping the same basic “mermaid” shape).
In general, A-line dresses tend to be really great for all body types – so if you’re in doubt, try searching for this type of gown because it will definitely flatter your body.
