Don’t forget these tips if you are giving a wedding toast
Giving a wedding toast is such a beautiful honor! Regardless of what your relationship with the couple may be, you will definitely want to make this toast memorable. But how do you do that? How do you write and give a really unforgettable wedding speech? We have some tips for you – read on and find out more.

You should really start as soon as possible. You don’t want to leave writing the wedding toast for the last moment – so take time and write the speech as soon as possible. This way, you will be able to come back to it, revise parts you don’t like, and even rehearse it (which, yes, is more than advisable).
It is highly advisable that you stay away from alcohol, at least until you give the actual speech. Some of you may think that it will help you encourage yourselves, but alcohol and public speaking can very quickly turn into a huge disaster the couple will never forget about.
Keep it short. The shorter your speech is, the sweeter it will be. You surely have a lot to say for the bride and groom, but a long speech is very likely to bore the other guests. Therefore, sticking on the short and sweet side is more than recommended.
Last, but definitely not least, control your jokes. It is perfectly fine to say an anecdote that will make people smile, but you should avoid offensive and inside jokes. They will have a terrible effect on everyone!
