Avoid upsetting your wedding guests

Your guests are more than happy to join you and celebrate the most wonderful and romantic moment of your life. Yet, you will also want to make sure they all have the time of their lives at your wedding too. How do you avoid upsetting your wedding guests, though? We have the most important tips you should remember – so read on and find out more.

  • First of all, avoid planning weddings in three-day weekends. Most people have travelling plans then and while they might want to cancel them for your wedding, you don’t want them to feel like they’re giving up on something for you. If you really have to have your wedding on such a date, be sure to announce it well ahead of time, so that people can plan accordingly.

  • Furthermore, try not to stay away from your guests for more than one hour. Having a cocktail hour and getting away from the guests to shoot photos is normal – but you really shouldn’t spend more time than that. After all, you don’t want to make people feel left out and unimportant, right?

  • Last, but definitely not least, avoid long speeches (and ask your VIPs to keep it short and sweet too). Sure, everyone loves a good speech (especially if involves a bit of sentimentalism and humor at the same time). However, prolonging the speeches for too long will only make people feel bored (and definitely not in the mood to party).
