Be Ready to Handle Guest List Additions Too!
It doesn’t even matter how much you plan for it: sometimes, surprise guests are almost bound to “happen” at a wedding. And while this may not be the most comfortable thing in the world (not for you, and most likely not for them as well), it is still very important to make sure they are warmly welcomed, just like any other wedding guest would be.
How to handle late guest list additions? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.
Remember that communication is key. Regardless of whether you have a day-of coordinator hired or if you have chosen to leave these matters into the hands of your Maid of Honor, it is really important to announce them of the changes right away.
Moreover, your coordinator should have a complete list of the guests, as well as the seats they’re assigned to. If someone shows up unannounced on the actual wedding day they will be able to take a look at the list and see where they could seat the new guest.
Have you received a late RSVP? This is what all those blank escort cards are for – pull them out and handwrite your new guest’s name and seat. This will make it less uncomfortable for them (and for you) on the wedding day.
Most importantly, though, don’t let this minor change ruin the most beautiful day of your life. These things happen and there’s nothing you can actually do about it. Wear your smile like your most precious accessory and enjoy this magical day in your life!
