Bring a Smile on Your Out of Town Guests’ Faces

Inviting out of town guests is almost inevitable when you really want these people to be by your side on the Big Day, but you also don’t want to plan your wedding in your hometown.

Of course, the people who will send a positive RSVP to your invitation deserve to be treated royally during their trip to your wedding. But how do you do that? How do you make their entire trip feel really unforgettable? Here are some tips to keep in mind.

  • Accommodation. You are not obliged to pay for the out of town guests’ accommodation, especially if there’s a lot of them and especially if your budget doesn’t allow it. However, it is your obligation to provide these people with a list of hotels near the wedding venue you have booked. This will make their lives so much easier!

  • Transportation. Be sure to provide guests with all the tools they need to get around safely (and in time for the actual wedding, of course). Maps and GPS coordinates, taxi numbers, pictures, worded instructions – they will all help. And if your budget allows it, a shuttle bus (at least for the wedding day) will be more than welcomed.

  • Entertainment. Welcome your guests with a nice gift basket filled with goodies – it will make their trip so much more pleasant! Don’t forget to include a list of the local touristic attractions, so that they can entertain themselves outside of the wedding day as well!
