Comfort Foods Are Such an Amazing Wedding Idea!
Serving only black caviar and fancy-cooked poultry at weddings can get boring pretty fast – but thankfully, the fresher wedding trends are far more generous from this point of view. In fact, they are so relaxed that you can actually serve comfort foods at your wedding.
Why would you do that? Why wouldn’t you? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.
Comfort foods will provide you with a ton of benefits. They are the kind of foods everyone knows and loves – so you really can’t go wrong with such a menu. They are also great for kids. They will surely feel like a treat. And, in the end, they are less expensive than many other types of wedding food as well.
On the other hand, eating fried chicken and potato salad is probably not the most suitable way to celebrate a very elegant wedding (a ballroom event, for example). You can do this if you want to be really unconventional, but it’s probably better to add a fun twist to your comfort food (e.g. mini tomato soup shooters with mini grilled cheese sandwiches, served as a late-night snack, rather than the main dish).
If you want to have a casual wedding, go ahead and have fun with a comfort food-infused menu. You can serve your all-time favorites the way you like them, you can have them made after a family recipe, and you can even turn some of them into fun food stations (e.g. mac and cheese, pancakes, mashed potatoes, and so on).
